My name is Kelli, and I’ve been drawing since I was very young. But if I had to put a time stamp on when I got into it, I would say about 4 years ago. Art has always been a part of my life but I didn’t really start getting super into it until my 7th grade year when I got my first sketchbook. Since then, I’ve dabbled with a lot of different mediums and most recently, I’ve experimented with oil painting which has now become my favorite. I also tried out pottery this year and I loved it. I’m hoping to take some pottery classes outside of school to improve more.
This year was better than the last two, I really enjoyed the artistic freedom of advanced art rather than being stuck one a project handed to me by Mr. Bera like in Art1 and Art2. I feel like it really helped me improve my artistic skills and explore the areas that I wanted to. So, I guess my junior year didn’t go too bad, my art classes are what really made my day and I was lucky enough to be able to be included in the 6th hour pottery, which was my favorite class and what I looked forward to the most. I hope that after high school, I’ll continue art as a hobby and create pieces that I’m proud of.
